Privacy policy
Last updated: August 31, 2026
This Privacy Policy describes how Ship It! Software Limited ("Company", "we", "us") collects, uses, discloses, and protects your information when you visit our website, create an account, or use the Loam service. This Privacy Policy is incorporated into our Terms of Service. By creating an account or using Loam, you acknowledge the practices described here.
Personal data we collect
We only collect the minimal amount of data necessary to provide the service. If you create an account, we collect information provided by you or your sign-in provider, such as your name, email address, profile image, and account identifier. If you subscribe to a paid plan, our payment provider processes your billing and payment information.
We also collect information about your interaction with Loam. This may include page views, clicks, signup and login activity, feature usage, file type and size, referring pages, IP address, approximate location, browser and device information, timestamps, and cookie or local-storage identifiers. We do not intentionally include the contents of your datasets or queries in product analytics events.
Use of your personal data
We use your personal data to provide, maintain, and improve the Loam service; open and secure accounts; process payments; send necessary service communications; provide support; prevent fraud and misuse; diagnose problems; analyse whether the service is being delivered effectively; understand usage trends; measure the effectiveness of our advertising; and develop improvements. We do not sell your personal data to third parties.
Your data
Data you connect or upload to Loam (datasets, synced business data) is yours. We never use your data to train AI models. You can delete your data at any time.
Cookies
We use cookies and similar technologies, including local storage, to authenticate you, maintain your session, remember preferences, measure use of Loam, and distinguish one browser or account from another. Some are necessary for the service to function; others support product analytics and advertising measurement. You can block cookies or browser storage using browser settings or privacy tools, but doing so may interfere with parts of the service.
Advertising measurement
We use Meta’s server-side Conversions API and Google Ads conversion measurement on the production website to understand whether visits and paid subscriptions followed our advertising and to measure campaign effectiveness. We do not load the Meta Pixel in your browser. These tools may receive page URLs, referring pages, browser and device information, IP address, timestamps, purchase value and currency, transaction identifiers, and first-party cookie or similar pseudonymous identifiers. We do not intentionally send the contents of your datasets or queries to Meta or Google. Each provider processes this information under its own privacy terms. You can limit this collection with browser settings or privacy tools.
Analytics
We use product analytics and experimentation tools to measure page views, interactions, signup and activation, and feature usage so we can understand how Loam is used and improve the service. Before sign-in, this activity may be associated with a pseudonymous browser or device identifier. After sign-in, we may associate it with your Loam account identifier and email address so we can understand the customer journey across sessions.
Product analytics operates automatically when the production website, service, or desktop application is used. Desktop analytics use a temporary identifier that resets when the application closes, do not create a person profile, and do not include file names, paths, contents, cell values, or SQL text. Analytics is part of our operation and improvement of Loam and is separate from optional marketing communications. Creating an account does not, by itself, opt you in to receive marketing.
Service providers
We share personal data with service providers only where reasonably necessary to operate Loam. These providers support functions such as authentication, hosting and storage, payments, error monitoring, customer support, AI processing, and product analytics. They may process information on our behalf under their own security and data protection obligations.
Marketing
If we offer optional marketing communications, we will present any required opt-in separately. You may withdraw a marketing choice at any time using the method provided with those communications. Necessary account, billing, security, and service messages are not marketing communications.
AI services
We use AI services from providers such as Google, OpenAI, and Anthropic to power features within Loam. When your data is processed by these services, it is used only to generate results for you and is not used to train their models.
