File size limits

Uploads support files up to 100 MB.

How it works

Files up to 100 MB

Files up to 100 MB upload in one step. Choose a file and confirm its destination. CSV can create a Table from an inferred schema. SQLite shows its source tables and creates a Table from the one you select. Other supported formats can load a matching existing Table. Loam shows separate upload and processing states.

Files larger than 100 MB

Files larger than 100 MB are not supported through the web interface yet. Try exporting a smaller date range or converting the file to Parquet. If it is still larger than 100 MB, you cannot upload it yet.

Tips for large files

  • Use Parquet. Parquet uses compression and is often smaller than CSV containing the same data. If your file is close to the limit, converting it to Parquet may bring it below 100 MB. See Uploading Parquet files.
  • Use a stable connection. Large uploads can take longer on a slow or unreliable network.
  • Keep the tab open. Wait until Loam confirms that the table is ready.

What counts toward limits

The limit applies to the file as it exists on your computer and is checked before Loam processes the data.
