Open a CSV in your browser and inspect every parsed row.
Drop a CSV or TSV file up to 50 MB here. Loam detects common delimiters and lays the parsed values out in a sortable, filterable table. Your file contents are parsed in your browser and are not uploaded to Loam.

What a CSV file actually is
A CSV stores table-like data as text. Delimiters separate fields, and line breaks separate records. Quoted fields can also contain delimiters or line breaks. CSV files are common exports from banks and business apps.
Three easy ways to open a CSV file
1. Open it in your browser (no install)
Use the viewer at the top of this page for a browser-based option. It accepts CSV and TSV files up to 50 MB, detects common delimiters, and displays every parsed row. The file contents are not uploaded to Loam.
2. Open it in Excel (carefully)
You can open a CSV in Excel, but do not double-click it if you need control over column types. Instead, open Excel first, then use Data → From Text/CSV to import. That gives you control over the delimiter and lets you set columns like ZIP codes and IDs to Text so Excel doesn’t strip their leading zeros or reformat your dates. Google Sheets has the same import-with-options flow under File → Import.
3. Open it from code
If you’d rather work in code, two one-liners cover most cases:
Python (pandas)
import pandas as pd
df = pd.read_csv("data.csv")
print(df.head(20))DuckDB
SELECT * FROM 'data.csv' LIMIT 20;Why CSV columns can change in Excel
CSV import problems often come from delimiter or type detection. Excel may interpret account numbers, ZIP codes, and values such as 03-04 automatically. Review those settings during import, or use the browser viewer to inspect the parsed values first.
After you inspect the CSV
Sort and filter the rows, then download the active view as CSV. To ask questions, open the separate chat tool and upload a CSV or TSV there. To keep data available to your AI, start with Loam and upload a supported file. You can also open an Excel file in its dedicated viewer. If a data tool or pipeline needs Parquet, use the CSV to Parquet converter. That converter uploads the file separately to Loam temporary storage. To ask questions now, open the CSV and TSV chat tool and upload the file again.
