How asking your data works

  1. Choose a CSV or TSV. You can also view a CSV first. The file is read in your browser. When you ask a question, its contents are sent to Loam for processing.
  2. Ask a question in plain English. "What were total sales last quarter?" or "Which region grew fastest?" The AI receives up to the first 200 lines after the header.
  3. Read the answer and check any citations. The AI is asked to cite supporting lines so you can compare the answer with your file.

Why requested citations matter

An AI answer can sound confident even when it is wrong. This tool asks the AI to cite supporting lines, giving you a place to check the result. The free tool uses up to the first 200 lines after the header.

Want to generate SQL from pasted table definitions? Turn plain English into SQL. Want to compare answers with and without row citations? Compare two AI answers.
