Ask in plain English. Loam writes SQL from your table definitions.
Describe what you want to know. Loam uses the table names, column names, and data types it extracts in your browser to generate SQL. Review the query and any reference warnings, then run it in your own database.
When you generate SQL, the extracted table names, column names, and data types, plus your question and SQL dialect, are sent to Loam and its AI provider. Your original CREATE TABLE text stays in your browser.
Paste your schema above or load the sample to get started.

Start with the definitions you paste
The tool starts with the table and column names you paste. After it generates SQL, Loam checks those references with a lightweight validator and warns about names it cannot match. The validator ties the request to the table and column names you provided, but it does not prove that the query is correct. Review the SQL before you run it. Text to SQL turns a plain-English question into a query. Good SQL still depends on complete definitions and a clear question. Loam cannot check business meaning or result values on this page because it does not connect to your database.
Want to try a query on a file? The SQL playground runs SQLite queries on a CSV or TSV that you select separately. The CSV and TSV chat tool also uses a file selected on its own page. Your pasted definitions do not carry into either tool.
